On November 19, 2013, the U.S. International Trade Commission issued an announcement, making anti-dumping and anti-subsidy positive industrial damage preliminary rulings against oriented electrical steel imported from China. The imported oriented electrical steel made a positive preliminary anti-dumping ruling, ruling that the products involved in the case caused substantial damage or threat of substantial damage to the domestic industry in the United States. In the ruling, all six members voted affirmatively. According to the affirmative ruling of the US International Trade Commission, the US will impose anti-dumping and countervailing duties on oriented electrical steel imported from China.

On October 31, 2013, the U.S. Department of Commerce announced that AK Steel Corporation (AKSteelCorporation, WestChester, Ohio), Allegheny Ludlum, LLC, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and the United Steelworkers Federation (TheUnited Steelworkers, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) filed an anti-dumping and countervailing investigation against oriented electrical steel imported from China.

According to my steel knowledge, in 2012, China exported 269 tons of oriented electrical steel to the United States, worth 630,000 US dollars.
